Amanda McHardy is a visual artist born and raised in Massachusetts. Her work is personal, honest, and used as an act of love to both herself and her subjects.
Amanda photographs those close to her in hopes of showing them the beauty she sees and the warmth she feels when she spends time with them. She captures the sights and feelings of a moment, both of people and places.
Given the intimate nature of her practice, every choice Amanda makes is intentional and done with care. Amanda's work tackles themes of relationships and connection, youth and mortality, memory and time, anxiety, and self-reflection.
When she's not creating, Amanda is probably overthinking, reminiscing, and/or giggling.
